HD Low Contrast FilterFormatt's HD Low COntrast filter as their name implies, reduce contrast levels. This allows more shadow detail to be visible. The filter spreads light into the shadows that occur in the general viciity of the light source. This may create a slight flaring and the creation of muted pastel colours. Formatt has taken the 3 most popular densities of the standard Low Contrast Filter and re-designed them into our new HD Low Contrast Filter in densities 1,2 and 3.
HD Full Frame Contrast FilterWorks in a similar fashion to the Low Contrast Filter but differs in that the HD Fulll Frame Contrast Filter reduces contrast by spreading the ambient light throughout the scene. The effect is that all of the shadow areas are lightened so that more details can be seen. The lit area remain unaffected amd there is no flare or halation. This filter can be used to lessen the harshness of HD video and create what some all 'the film look'. The filters are available in densities 1, 2 and 3.
HD Soft Contrast Cool FilterThis filter is a combination softening filter and a Full Frame Contrast Filter. The HD Soft Contrast Cool Filter is a heavy duty contrast filter available in 3 densities of cool blue softening effect, densities 1,2 and 3.
HD Soft Contrast Warm FilterThis filter is a combination softening filter and a Full Frame Contrast Filter. The HD Soft Contrast Warm Filter is a lighter contrast effect thans its cool counterpart and is also available in 3 densities of warm softening effect, densities 1, 2 and 3.
WOW FilterThis is also know as the 'soft centre beauty filter' and has been designed specifically for portraits, head shots, talking head and interviews. The filter has a grade 3 softening centre which helps create a softer image in the centre of the frame (where the subject if positioned). The filter them feathers the grade 3 in the centre to a grade 2 and then finally a grade 1 at the outside. This feathering is a very subtle effct and softens the image delicately without diffusion.
