The FM600 Matte Box is the entry level offering from Formatt Filters and represents excellent value for money for all videography work.
The FM600 matte box comes complete with ray shade suitable for most videography work including wide angle in most cases. The French Flag is rotatable through 180°. The powder coated black matte interior removes flare and ghosting.
The matte box has two filter holders which will accept most glass filters from 1.5mm to 4mm thickness in 4" x 4" and in the vertical position 4" x 5.65". The second filter holder is fully rotatable through 360° and accepts 4" x 4”.
Fastening
The FM600 matte box attaches to the camera lens barrel in two different fashions - screw in or clamp on. The commonest method is the screw adaptor.
Screw in adaptors are available in sizes: 52mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, 82mm, 86mm and 95mm
Clamp on adaptors are available in sizes: 75mm, 80mm, 85mm, 86mm and 93mm
Please ensure you specify type and size of adaptor required when checking out to buy this product (there is space to specify options on the basket page). To determine the size you need, look for the filters size information in the technical specifications for your camera. Where no internal thread is available on the lens barrel a clamp on ring is needed.
