This black & white contrast filter is a deeper yellow than 8, for greater contrast.

Black and White Contrast filters create a variety of effects including contrast control, enhanced skintones, tonal correction and more dramatic scenery and are usually used when shooting with black and white film. These glass filters assist in managing the variation of grey colours to appear as darker or lighter tones in order to differentiate them in the grey variation as they would be in natural colour.
